PURPOSE : Provided is an additive for building materials, which emits anions and far infrared rays, reduces harmful chemicals, has a simple use and a convenient constructability, and shows antibacterial, mothproofing, and hygroscopic functions. CONSTITUTION : The additive for building materials comprises charcoal 57-80wt%, activated carbon 20-30wt%, and an additive 5-8%, and is mixed with other building materials. The additive consists of quartz porphyry 1.5-2.2wt%, rare earth 0.9-1.6wt%, zeolite 0.9-1.5wt%, pyroligneous liquid 1.2-1.7wt%, and herb oil 0.5-1wt%. The rare earth is Le, La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Ti, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Se, Y, Pm, etc. © KIPO 2006
