PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a remote excitation optical fiber communication system and optical fiber module in which a gain bandwidth can be expanded and gain stabilization can be achieved. SOLUTION : In a remote excitation optical fiber communication system wherein wavelength multiplexed signal light is amplified by a rare earth added fiber module and transmitted by a transmission fiber, a plurality of rare earth added fibers are simultaneously excited in the rare earth added fiber module, thereby including a great gain bandwidth matching gain bandwidths of a plurality of wavelength bands.
