The invention relates to a two-component adhesion promoter composition for p re- treating surfaces. Said composition comprises two components : the first component K1 contains at least one hydrolysable adhesion promoter substance A, which is selected from the group comprising organosilicon compounds, organotitanium compounds, organozirconium compounds and mixtures of said compounds; and the second component K2 comprises at least one compound B, which reacts with the adhesion promoter substance A or triggers or catalyses a condensation of the adhesion promoter A. When the packaging is sealed, the first and second components are held in two compartments (1, 2) that are separated by at least one partition (3). The invention also relates to the u se of packaging (5) comprising two compartments (1, 2) that are separated by a partition and to a pack (6) consisting of packaging (5) and a two-component adhesion promoter composition, which is held in compartments (1, 2) that are separated by a partition (3).
