PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for efficiently treating boron-containing waste water, by which the waste waster containing boron including various coexistent substances and the waste water containing boron of high concentration can be treated with a smaller amount of a chemical while reducing the waste solid to be produced. SOLUTION : This method for treating boron-containing waste water comprises : a first step to produce an insoluble deposit containing aluminum and an alkaline-earth metal mainly from boron-containing waste water; a second step to produce another insoluble deposit containing the alkaline-earth metal and a sulfate ion mainly from the waste water treated at the first step; and a third step to subject the insoluble deposits produced at the first and second steps to solid-liquid separation to obtain the treated water.
