PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain, using a simplified method, a high-performance magnet having little non-magnetized portion reduced as much as possible and to employ a magnetization coil indicated by a heavy line, in order to provide a magnetizing apparatus for preventing the puncture of a yoke, and also to provide a high- performance axial direction gap type motor including such magnet. SOLUTION : A thin ring type axial direction gap permanent magnet (M) has four or more magnetic poles, which include rare earth metal and are arranged alternately in N and S poles in the outside diameter of 14 mm or less and the inside diameter of 4 mm or more. It if subjected to magnetization carried out in a manner such that the magnet is deviated to provide a cross-section of the non-magnetized portion of 8% or less for the total cross-section of magnet and the magnetization yokes (1, 11) are also deviated.
