PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a welding method, in which welding of high efficiency is performed by combining a gas-shielded arc welding method and a YAG-laser welding method, and by which generation of welding defects such as a blowhole is suppressed, the amount of spatters to be generated is reduced, and an excellent bead-shape is obtained. SOLUTION : In a YAG-laser and arc hybrid welding method, which uses a YAG-laser welding method and a gas-shielded arc welding method combined together, welding is conducted using a steel welding wire made of a steel wire containing 0.015-0.100 mass% rare earth elements.
