PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a small and high capacity stacked ceramic capacitor having superior reliability in a capacitance temperature characteristic and high temperature load life even if a dielectric layer is made thin, and to provide a manufacturing method of the capacitor.
SOLUTION : The dielectric layer 5 consists of crystal particles 11 formed of perovskite type composite oxide containing Ba, Ti, rare earth elements, Mg and Mn as metallic elements and of grain boundary phases 13. The crystal particles 11 comprise Mg, Mn and the rare earth elements. Mg, Mn and the rare earth elements have concentration gradient where concentration becomes high from a center of the crystal particle to the surface of the particle. Concentration gradient of the rare earth element from among Mg, Mn and the rare earth element is 0.02 atomic%/nm or above.
