SOLUTION : The rare earth magnet 1 comprises a magnet element 2 containing a rare earth element, and a protective layer 4 formed on the surface thereof. The protective layer 4 contains an organic polymer compound and an inorganic polymer compound. In the protective layer, the hydrogen bond of the organic polymer compound and the inorganic polymer compound is formed at least partially.
