PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To manufacture an environmentally resistant film or structure which protects e.g. a gas turbine member from undergoing corrosion and thickness reduction even in an environment in which the member is exposed to a high-speed steam-containing gas stream at a temperature as high as 1, 300°C or above.
SOLUTION : The environmentally resistant film material comprises at least one member selected from the group consisting of hafnia, hafnia containing zirconia, and hafnia containing hafnia or zirconia stabilized with a rare earth oxide and/or silica. The environmentally resistant film structure is a film structure covering a support having a low coefficient of thermal expansion, wherein hafnon (HfSiO4) is a first layer 2 directly formed on a support 1, and hafnia is formed thereon as a second layer 3.
