PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide rare earth-iron-manganese based master alloy suitable for anisotropic rare earth-iron-manganese-nitrogen based magnet powder having satisfactory squareness and excellent reproducibility in production and its production method, to provide magnet powder obtained by nitriding the same and its production method, further, to provide a composition for a rare earth bond magnet comprising the obtained rare earth-iron-manganese-nitrogen based magnet powder and a resin binder and having excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance, and to provide a rare earth bond magnet obtained by using the same. SOLUTION : In the method of producing rare earth-iron-manganese based master alloy powder for an anisotropic rare earth-iron-nitrogen based magnet using a reducing diffusion method, as the metal raw material reduced by a reducing agent, a mixture composed of (A) iron powder in which the powder with a particle diameter of 10 to 70 μm accounts for ≥80% to the whole; (B) manganese oxide powder in which the powder with a particle diameter of 0.1 to 10 μm accounts for ≥80% to the whole; and (C) rare earth oxide powder in which the powder with a particle diameter of 0.1 to 10 μm accounts for ≥80% to the whole is used.
