PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To make a rare gas holdup device common to a plurality of exhaust gas recombiners. SOLUTION : Channel switching valves 8a and 8b are inserted in channels 11a and 11b connecting an exhaust gas recombiners 6a and 6b and a rare gas holdup device 9. In the middle of channels 12a and 12b for bypassing, channel switching valves 13a and 13b for bypassing are inserted. When no leak of rare gas from fuel clads 2a and 2b is detected with radioactivity detectors 7a and 7b arranged downstream the exhaust gas recombiners 6a and 6b, the channel switching valves 13a and 13b are opened to exhaust gas waste to a stuck 10 in the state that the rare gas holdup device 9 is bypassed. When the leak of rare gas is detected, the channel switching valves 8a and 8b are opened to introduce the gas waste exhausted from the exhaust gas recombiners 6a and 6b to the rare gas holdup device 9. The attenuated gas waste is exhausted to the stuck 10 side.
