PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for manufacturing a sintered magnet by which sufficiently high sintering density can be obtained even in the case of low R composition. SOLUTION : In the method for manufacturing a sintered magnet containing R (one or more sorts of rare earth elements), T (one or more sorts of transitional metallic elements containing Fe or Fe and Co as essential elements) and B (boron) as main components, original alloy produced by a strip casting method and having a surface on which the area ratio of a unique adhered substance is ≤1.5% is crushed up to prescribed grain size to produce fine powder, the fine powder is molded with pressure in a magnetic field to form a compact and the compact is sintered.
