PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To improve measurement precision by preventing contrast from decreasing, without sacrificing the ultraviolet emission intensity of a fluorescence transilluminator, in a fluorescence measuring apparatus which includes the fluorescence transilluminator for irradiating a migration gel that is subjected to fluorescence dyeing with ultraviolet rays, and an observation section for observing the fluorescence spectrum, by receiving fluorescence generated by the migration gel irradiated with ultraviolet rays. SOLUTION : The migration gel 5 is placed at the lower portion of a rare-gas ultraviolet fluorescent lamp 2, and the light-receiving section (not shown) in an observation system is arranged at the upper section of the lamp 2. An opening (window section 4), in which the fluorescence from the gel 5 passes, is provided at the center section of the lamp 2. A stand plate 3 for placing the gel 5 is made of a material that does not emit light by the irradiation of ultraviolet rays, and a low-reflection film is formed on the surface. Ultraviolet rays from the ultraviolet fluorescent lamp 2 are absorbed by the stand plate 3 for placing the gel 5, and since the stand plate 3 also does not emit light, only the fluorescence from the gel 5 enters the light-receiving section of the observation system, and contrast is improved, enabling high accuracy measurement.
