PURPOSE : A zeolite mortar composition using zeolite, yellow earth and illite is provided, which has improved compression strength, high far infrared emission and deodorization compared with conventional cement mortar. CONSTITUTION : The mortar composition comprises 20-60pts.wt. of zeolite, 20-50pts.wt. of yellow earth, 10-30pts.wt of illite, 5-15pts.wt of slag, 5-15pts.wt of lime stone and 1-10pts.wt. of titanium dioxide. The natural mineral powders of zeolite, yellow earth and illite, are prepared by the following steps of : removing water from minerals; crushing; heating at 1-10deg.C/min. to 100-400deg.C; holding for 1-6hrs; air cooling and drying 0.5-4hrs; grinding to a size of 200-500mesh.
