PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To prepare a nature-friendly grass-proofing sheet having sufficient grass-proofing effect on strong weeds having strong budding force and thick stem diameter, e.g. Imperata cylindrica, Phragmites communis and Solidago altissima L., capable of exhibiting a prescribed grass-proofing effect without inhibiting growth of trees because of adequate water-permeable effect and capable of carrying out reclamation treatment, because grass-proofing sheet already used has biodegradability when land is re-utilized after using the sheet. SOLUTION : In the biodegradable grass-proofing sheet, penetration resistance to weed by a shaft made of iron having 8.4 mm shaft diameter, 3 cm shaft length and 45 degree breakage angle of shaft and assuming grown Phragmites communis weed satisfies the formula 0.1X+5≥Y≥0.1X-8 (wherein X is a weight of nonwoven fabric and satisfies ≥100 and ≤300; Y represents penetration resistance).
