PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a boron adsorbing agent with which all of such defects can be corrected at the same time that a substance to be dissolved is apt to be eluted in water, the adsorptivity of boron in water is poor, a large quantity of sludge is generated as a boron-adsorbed precipitate, the adsorption rate of boron is late, the adsorptivity is deteriorated with time during a short time, the heat resistance is low and the operation of a multistage large-seized apparatus is complicated. SOLUTION : The boron adsorbing agent contains a macromolecular resin and ≥600 pts.wt. hydroxide of a rare earth element on the basis of 100 pts.wt. macromolecular resin.
