SOLUTION : In the method of manufacturing the long rare-earth magnet block 20 used in a developing roller, a magnet compound material M, which is made up of a rare-earth magnet powder deposited with resin fine particles, is supplied to a mold 4 for compression forming, after being supplied, the magnet compound material M is pressed by a pressing plate 6 divided in the longitudinal direction of the magnet block 20 from above at a predetermined pressure, after being pressed, the surface of the molded form is flattened by a scraper 10.
