PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a moisture removal apparatus capable of efficiently removing moisture of earth and sand using a microwave. SOLUTION : The moisture removal apparatus for removing the moisture of the earth and sand 3 having a high water content comprises a conveyor 2 continuously transporting the earth and sand, a shield container 5 having an opening part 51 to protrude the front end and the rear end of the conveyor, a magnetron 11 generating the microwave 1, a waveguide 12 transmitting the microwave generated from the magnetron, a plurality of irradiation openings 13 provided with a space left in a moving direction of the conveyor in the inside of the shield container, and an exhaust device exhausting wet air in the shield container. The thickness of the earth and sand transported by the conveyor is adjusted not more than a predetermined thickness.
