PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To enhance durability of a solid high polymer fuel cell by enhancing oxidation resistance and persistence of an electrolyte by a method of a low cost. SOLUTION : In this solid high polymer fuel cell equipped with a membrane electrode jointed body in which an electrode is jointed to both surfaces of a solid high polymer electrode membrane, a rare earth element and phosphate containing at least one metallic element selected from Ti, Fe, Al, and Fe are fixed to either one or more of the solid high polymer electrolyte membrane and the electrode.
