PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for recovering a metal with a low fluorine content from a fluorine-containing liquid.SOLUTION : This method for recovering the metal with the low fluorine content has a process for introducing at least one kind of a rare earth ions into the fluorine-containing liquid to separate fluorine ions in the liquid as a rare earth fluoride sediment and a process for adjusting the pH of a filtrate, from which the rare earth fluoride sediment is separated, to sediment and separate metal ions in the filtrate. Further, a rare earth fluoride is added to the fluorine-containing liquid in addition to rare earth ions and the rare earth fluoride sediment is formed on the surface of the rare earth fluoride to be filtered and separated.
