PURPOSE : A gold plated glass tile and its manufacturing method are provided to improve durability of plated gold and thus to prevent peeling off of the plated gold for a prolonged use with reduced manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION : The gold plated glass tile is produced by : cutting(1) a transparent glass sheet to a desired size as a tile; placing the glass cut on a mold made of combined earth materials which has patterns and a release agent applied(3) thereon; piling up(4) each glass cut on a mold in a furnace and preheating(5) at 790-890deg.C for 8-10hours for calcination of the glass cut; plating a first and a second gold foil(12, 15) on the unpatterned surface of the calcined glass tile by applying a first and a second adhesive agent(10, 13); and coating the gold plated tile with a first and a second waterproof layer(17, 19). © KIPO 2005
