PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a voltage nonlinear resistor porcelain composition in which a variation in varistor voltage is reduced while maintaining varistor characteristics and whose characteristic does not deteriorate in the voltage load life test, and an electronic component such as a laminated chip varistor having improved reliability. SOLUTION : The voltage nonlinear resistor porcelain composition includes a main component containing zinc oxide, a first sub-component containing cobalt oxide, a second sub-component containing an oxide of a rare earth element, a third sub-component containing an oxide of an element of group 3B, a fourth sub-component containing an oxide of at least one kind of Li and Na, a fifth sub-component containing an oxide of at least one kind of K, Rb and Cs, a sixth sub-component containing silicon oxide, a seventh sub-component containing an oxide of an element of group 2A, and an eighth sub-component containing an oxide of Mo.
