FIELD : chemistry.
SUBSTANCE : invention relates to processes for preparation of isoprene polymerization catalyst and can find application in the production of general-purpose rubbers in the synthetic rubber industry. Method for preparation of a catalyst for the polymerization of isoprene by reacting, in a hydrocarbon solvent, catalyst components comprising a salt of rare earth metals and organophosphorus acid, alkylaluminum, alkylaluminum halide and conjugated diene, followed by keeping the mixture at room temperature, consisting in the use of a mixture of organophosphoric acid salts of gadolinium and neodymium as a salt of rare earth metals and organophosphorus acid, in molar ratio Gd : Nd=0.25–0.75 : 0.75–0.25, and the process is carried out at a molar ratio of rare earth metal : aluminum : chlorine : diene, equal to 1 : 7–9 : 2.5–3.0 : 10–50.
EFFECT : proposed method of synthesis allows to obtain a highly efficient polymerization catalyst for isoprene (95–99 % yield of polyisoprene) not requiring the use of large amounts of organoaluminum compounds and leading to the production of polyisoprene with a high content of cis-1, 4-links 98½–99 %.
