PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a luminescence material exhibiting luminescence emission spectrum which is changed depending on excitation wavelength or kinds of contained metals, a method for controlling luminescence emission spectrum of the luminescence material, and a luminescence system. SOLUTION : There is provided a luminescence material represented by (M1)3(M2)2O6 : M3, where M1 is at least one kind of Group II element selected from a group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba, a part of M1 may be replaced by Group I element, M2 is at least one kind of Group XIII element selected from B, Al, Ga and In and M3 is at least one kind of trivalent rare earth ion.
