PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a sucrose aromatic monocarboxylate which is excellent in compatibility with amorphous resins and crystalline resins, and improves their moldability, physical properties, flexibility, impact resistance, and the like, can control thermal coloration, and is excellent in thermal stability.SOLUTION : A sucrose aromatic monocarboxylate is an ester of sucrose with an aromatic monocarboxylic acid represented by general formula (I) (wherein, R-Rare each independently a group selected from H, alkyl or alkoxy), having the content of substituted products of ≤hexa-substituted products in an amount of ≥5 wt.%, and a halogen content of ≤100 ppm.
