The present invention relates to a method including the production of a crystalline scintillator by producing powder with a composition represented by chemical formula 1 : M^1_aM^2_bM^c_3M^4_dO_12, and heating the powder at 500-1, 700° C in an oxygen-containing atmosphere. In the chemical formula 1, O represents oxygen; and M^1, M^2, M^3 and M^4 represent first, second, third and fourth metals which are different from each other. M^1 is a rare earth element including gadolinium, yttrium, lutetium, scandium, or a combination thereof; M^2 is aluminum or boron; M^3 is gallium; and M^4 is a codopant.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
