PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an encoding technique of RAW image data of a Bayer array corresponding to which one of encoding efficiency and image quality to give priority. SOLUTION : A first plane conversion unit converts RAW image data into each plane of R, G0, G1, and B. A second plane conversion unit converts the RAW image data into a luminance plane and three color difference planes composed of color different components different from one another.
