PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrode for electrolysis providing conductive and low carbon rare earth product. SOLUTION : There are provided an electrode for electrolysis having an oxide phase containing a spinel ferrite phase and a nickel oxide phase and a metal phase dispersed in the oxide phase and having element ratio of the spinel ferrite phase, Fe/Ni in a range of 2.5 to 3.5 and an electrolytic device having the same. Preferably a ratio of occupation area of the oxide phase to occupation area of the metal phase in a cross section of the electrode for electrolysis is 80/20 to 95/5.
