PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a Nd-Fe-B-based magnetic powder and a Sm-Fe-N-based magnetic powder allowing for increase in rust prevention properties and heat resistance in a bond magnet without reducing magnetic properties.
SOLUTION : The rare earth magnetic powder is constituted of a magnetic powder selected form a Nd-Fe-B-based magnetic powder and a Sm-Fe-N-based magnetic powder, and is constituted by forming a hydrolysis produced article of an alkoxy group-containing silicon compound represented by the general formula (OR1)3SiR2 or the general formula (OR1)4Si, where R1 and R2 each represents an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, on a part or all of particle surface of the magnetic powder and formed amount of the hydrolysis produced article is 0.1 to 50 pts.mass based on 1000 pts.mass of the rare earth magnetic powder.
