PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a novel gemini compound of amine-salt type having excellent surface activity such as low critical micelle concentration and high surface tension reduction ability, little skin irritation and safety to living matter, and excellent biodegradability, to provide a production method of the novel gemini compound, and to provide a cationic surfactant and a dispersant that use the novel gemini compound.SOLUTION : There is provided a gemini compound represented by formula (I). In the formula (I), n is an integer of 1 to 22, Ris an alkylene group having 1 to 22 carbon atoms, Ris an alkyl group having 1 to 22 carbon atoms (the number of carbon atoms in a R-CH-CH-Rpart is selected to be 9 to 25), Ris an alkyl group or the like, Rand Rare each independently a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or an ethyl group, and X is a counter anion to be a salt.
