PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for effectively recovering a rare earth metal from a rare earth magnet. SOLUTION : There is provided a recovery method of a rare earth metal including the steps of : arranging a slurry of a magnet containing Fe and a rare earth metal and microorganisms by sectioning by an ion permeable microorganism separation membrane; and accumulating the rare earth metal exuded from the slurry to broth to the microorganisms.
