One purpose of the present invention is to provide a thin-film solar cell which exhibits high photoelectric conversion efficiency, and, in particular, a high open-circuit voltage. Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a production method for said thin-film solar cell. Accordingly, this thin-film solar cell is provided with : a negative electrode; a positive electrode; a photoelectric conversion layer disposed between the negative electrode and the positive electrode; and an electron transport layer disposed between the negative electrode and the photoelectric conversion layer. The photoelectric conversion layer is provided with : a region including an organic semiconductor; and a region including antimony sulfide and/or antimony selenide. A layer including a rare earth element and/or an element from group 2 of the periodic table is disposed between the photoelectric conversion layer and the electron transport layer.
