PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of a quick chilled ribbon capable of preventing composition deviation between a prepared alloy composition and the quick chilled ribbon. SOLUTION : In the manufacturing method of a quick chilled ribbon of a rare earth, a molten metal of a rare earth magnet alloy is ejected from a nozzle over the surface of a rotating cooling roll to solidify the rare earth magnet alloy in a manner of quick chilling. A lid is disposed in the nozzle to prevent volatilization of the rare-earth element, and the ribbon is manufactured in a state that the lid is in contact with the upper surface of the molten metal of the rare earth magnet alloy in the nozzle.
