PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a photothermal conversion layer having a visible light transmission property. SOLUTION : Disclosed is a photothermal conversion layer containing an infrared absorption particle and a binder component. The visible light transmittance calculated on the basis of JISR3106 is 50% or more and the light transmittance of wavelength 1000 nm is 10% or less. The infrared absorption particle is selected from a tungsten oxide particle whose chemical formula is shown by WyOz (2.2≤z/y<3.0), and a composite tungsten oxide particle whose chemical formula is shown by MxWyOz (wherein M represents H, He, alkali metal, alkali earth metal, and rare earth element).
