PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To prevent the problem that, in a conventional motor, a diffusion magnet cannot be used for a motor such as e.g., a large-sized motor employing a thick magnet, and sufficient demagnetization resistance cannot be obtained in the large-sized motor as a result.
SOLUTION : The motor comprises a magnet 70 which is disposed in a rotor 14 so as to oppose a magnetic field generated from a coil fixed to a stator, and in which concentration distribution of a heavy rare-earth element at a center side is lower than at a surface side. The magnet 70 is formed by laminating two permanent magnets 71 and 72 each having thickness (t) equal to or less than 3 mm in a direction across the magnetic field.
