PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor arranged to be able to establish both the reliability under a high-temperature and high-electric field condition, and the reliability under a high-humidity and high-electric field condition.SOLUTION : A multilayer ceramic capacitor comprises a ceramic laminate (capacitor main body) including dielectric ceramic layers, and internal electrodes stacked one another through the dielectric ceramic layers. The dielectric ceramic layers includes : a perovskite compound including Ba and Ti; Zr; and a rare earth element. The ratios of the Zr and rare earth element to 100 pts.mol of Ti are as follows. Zr is in a range of 0.4-2.0 pts.mol, and the rare earth element falls in a range of 0.05-0.5 pts.mol. The molar ratio of Zr to the rare earth element, i.e. Zr/rare earth element is in a range of 4-8. There is a segregate including Al in 80% or more of defective parts making regions which interrupt the continuity of the internal electrodes. The dielectric ceramic forming each dielectric ceramic layer has an average grain diameter of 230-350 nm.
