PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a permanent magnet which can suppress generation of an eddy current while suppressing decrease in magnetic flux density, a method of manufacturing the permanent magnet, a rotor, a motor and a robot. SOLUTION : A permanent magnet 53 includes : a plurality of permanent magnet pieces 54 arranged in a predetermined direction and having uniform magnetic poles; and an adhesive layer 55 which is interposed between the pair of adjacent permanent magnet pieces 54 to stick them together. The adhesive layer 55 includes : an adhesive agent 551 having insulation properties; and a permanent magnet particle 552 included in the adhesive agent 551. The permanent magnet particle 552 includes at least one of a rare earth permanent magnet particle and an oxide permanent magnet particle. Also, the permanent magnet particle 552 is magnetized in the same direction as the permanent magnet pieces 54. COPYRIGHT : (C)2014, JPO&INPIT
