PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a compressor with resistance to demagnetization even when the amount of Dy (dysprosium) contained in a rare-earth magnet used in a motor is reduced. SOLUTION : The compressor includes : a compression element that compresses refrigerant; a 6-pole motor with a rotor using neodymium rare-earth magnet containing iron, neodymium, boron and dysprosium of not more than 4 wt%; a drive circuit that drives the motor and uses a SiC element in a converter.
