PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a nickel-hydrogen storage battery having a long life, regarding a nickel-hydrogen storage battery employing an electrolytic solution rich in NaOH. SOLUTION : A nickel-hydrogen storage battery includes : a negative electrode which contains a hydrogen-storing alloy, the hydrogen-storing alloy having a CaCu5 type crystal structure and containing at least a rare earth element and Ni element while substituting Y element for a part of the rare earth elements; and an electrolytic solution containing NaOH by 2.0 M or more.
