PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a weed proofing structure fixing the weed proofing sheet on the ground surface without driving fixing tools such as an anchor pin, a nail, etc., to the weed proofing sheet and to provide a method for laying the weed proofing sheet on the ground surface, in relation to the weed proofing structure for ground surface protecting overgrowth of plants such as weeds, etc., on the ground surface by laying a weed proofing sheet and the method for laying the weed proofing sheet on the ground surface. ŽSOLUTION : Provided is the weed proofing structure obtained by fixing the weed proofing sheet having belt like sheets for fixing connected by means of an adhesion or welding, etc., to the edge part in the longitudinal direction on both sides of the sheet, and long length rods or plates mounted on the belt like sheets for fixing along the longitudinal direction of the belt like fixing sheet, and fixing the long length rods or plates by a plurality of fixing-tools such as the anchor pin or nail, etc., on the ground surface, and provided is the method for laying the weed proofing sheet on the ground surface.
