PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a composite metal oxide not containing a rare metal element and also containing Fe with abundant resources and giving a sodium secondary battery with high energy density. SOLUTION : The composite metal oxide includes a crystal structure of α-NaFeO2 type and has a spacing between faces (104) of not less than 2.16 angstrom and less than 2.18 angstrom and expressed by formula (1) : Na(FexNiyMn1-x-y)O2. Here, x is 0.1 or more and 0.6 or less, and y exceeds 0 and less than 0.9. COPYRIGHT : (C)2012, JPO&INPIT
