PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for packing a magnetic powder material into a cavity of a press device uniformly, quickly and excellently in reproducibility. SOLUTION : This method for packing magnetic powder material 14 into the cavity 112 of a press device 100 contains a process (a) of supplying the magnetic powder material to an upper part of the cavity and a process (b) of actuating a force which directs the bottom part of the cavity to the magnetic powder material by applying an alternating decay pulse magnetic field to the space containing the cavity. The magnetic powder material is quickly packed by magnetic attracting force, at the same time, is subjected to demagnetizing action of the alternating decay pulse magnetic field and, therefore, is packed uniformly.
