PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a fuel electrode for a solid electrolyte fuel cell having a superior durability against a hydrocarbon fuel, and in which high power output can be secured; and to provide the solid electrolyte fuel cell having the same.
SOLUTION : The fuel electrode 10 for the solid electrolyte fuel cell has an active layer 11 deployed in contact with the solid electrolyte 20, and a reforming layer 12 that is deployed on a surface side into which a fuel gas is introduced. The active layer 11 contains a first electron conductive material that is active to hydrocarbon, and zirconium oxide added with first rare earth elements. The reforming layer 12 contains a second electron conductive material that is active to the hydrocarbon, and cerium oxide added with second rare earth elements.
