The ferrite magnetic material has a ferrite phase having a hexagonal crystal structure and contains a main composition represented by Ca1-w-x-yRwSrxBayFezMmO19 (wherein R represents at least one element selected from rare earth elements (including Y) and Bi and includes La as an essential element, and M represents at least one element selected from Co, Mn, Mg, Ni, Cu, and Zn and includes Co as an essential element), which fulfills the following relationship : 0.25
