PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method and an apparatus continuously performing uniform high pressure treatment to a long film or the like. SOLUTION : In the continuous high pressure treatment method, the high pressure treatment is performed through the contact with a high pressure fluid in supercritical state or subcritical state while the rolled item to be treated is unreeled and traveled in a high pressure treatment chamber, and then the item is re-wound in a roll form. The continuous high pressure treatment apparatus includes the high pressure treatment chamber and also includes the unreeling means for the item to be treated, a plurality of feed rollers, and the rewinding means for the treated item in the high pressure treatment chamber.
