PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a cell for a fuel cell capable of effectively restraining the generation of cracks at a fuel electrode and the separation of a solid electrolyte and the deterioration of ion conductivity resulting from the diffusion of an element to the solid electrolyte, which can be manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION : The cell is composed of a conductive support substrate 31; a fuel electrode layer 32 formed on the substrate 31; a solid electrolyte layer 33 based on zirconia and lanthanum gallate formed on the substrate 31 to cover the fuel electrode layer 32; and a oxygen electrode 34 disposed on the solid electrolyte layer 33 to face the fuel electrode layer 32.
