PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To increase an initial voltage of a solid oxide fuel battery cell and to suppress voltage reduction during uninterrupted electrification.
SOLUTION : A solid oxide fuel battery cell comprises : a zirconia-based solid electrolyte layer; an anode provided on one face side of the solid electrolyte layer; a cathode provided on the other face side of the solid electrolyte layer and including Sr; and a reaction-preventing layer provided between the solid electrolyte layer and the cathode and arranged by doping ceria with a rare earth element. The cathode is formed to have a thickness thicker than 20 μm and thinner than 80 μm. The arrangement like this makes possible : to raise the initial voltage of a solid oxide fuel battery cell; and to suppress the voltage reduction during uninterrupted electrification.
