PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare-earth bond magnet that has improved forming characteristics and magnetic characteristics, and then improved mechanical strength and corrosion resistance with a small amount of binding resin by utilizing the advantages of extrusion molding, and to provide a method for manufacturing the rare-earth bond magnet. SOLUTION : The rare-earth bond magnet is manufactured by using a composition for rare-earth bond magnets containing rare-earth magnet powder and a thermoplastic resin, and by extrusion molding. The content of the rare-earth magnet powder in the rare-earth bond magnet is 78.1-83 vol.%, and the rare-earth magnet powder contains magnet powder composed of an Sm-Fe-N-based alloy with a rare-earth element, having Sm as a main constituent, a transition metal with Fe as a main constituent, and an interstitial element with N as a main constituent, as main constituents. The composition for rare-earth bond magnets supplied to extrusion molding can be obtained by kneading using a kneading machine in which the total length of a kneading disk section is 30-35 cm.
