A method of easily separating and dismantling a blast furnace body in a short time. The blast furnace body (13) on the upper side in a dismantled area is separated, and a foundation concrete or a base grout (11) on the lower side in the dismantled area is cut off with a wire saw. Spherical particles (62) are filled in cut clearances formed by the cutting with the wire saw so that the blast furnace body can be horizontally moved with a horizontal force without lifting up the blast furnace body to be dismantled.
