PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a granulated molded product of a rare earth compound used as an adsorbent efficiently removing or recovering a toxic substance component of a valuable component and to provide a method for producing the molded product. SOLUTION : The granulated molded product of the rare earth compound is obtained by binding powder particles of the rare earth compound with a porous binder containing a hydrophilic resin. Furthermore, the method for producing the granulated molded product of the rare earth compound comprises impregnating the powder particles of the rare earth compound with an aqueous solution or an emulsion containing the hydrophilic resin and a water-soluble compound or a mixed solution or an emulsion of water with an organic solvent, then drying the resultant material by heating, subsequently bringing the material into contact with water and eluting the water-soluble compound.
